Project Happy Place aka Atlantic Ocean

Dear Addie,

If we ignore the ongoing pesky illness, this week was basically a highlight reel in your world. The weather couldn’t quite make up its mind giving the classic “fake spring,” bouncing from warm to chilly and back again, but let’s be honest, it never stood a chance of keeping you inside. I mean there was a swing that wasn’t going to swing itself and plenty of unsuspecting bugs living their everyday lives, just waiting to be plucked and inspected by you after all. The excitement really kicked up a notch with the return of your beloved speech therapist, Ms. Sarah (hooray!) And if that wasn’t already exciting enough, your big presentation day at school had finally arrived! After weeks of learning amazing facts and experimenting with all kinds of artistic mediums, you were more than ready to take on your Atlantic Ocean project and show off all your hard work! And wow, did you deliver! You brought your “happy place” to life showcasing all its incredible animals with a little assist from your trusty iPad prompts. Insert a very proud mama ;)

And can we talk about that anglerfish?! Wickedly awesome doesn’t even begin to cover it. However this magic picture was created we are so here for it - Too cute! Big sister Clara, our in-house artist and animal enthusiast has already put in a very serious request to have it turned into a t-shirt so she can show it off...To which brother over heard and requested one as well ;) Insert your forever proud siblings coming in!

And just when it seemed like the week had already reached peak greatness… it kept going! You wrapped it all up with a perfect day at the lake with your school friends. Sunshine, laughter, and probably a few more adventures thrown in for good measure.

Addie we are all so very proud of you baby girl! We know you are not always feeling great these days, but you continue to prove your resilience and strength every single day.
